The department features two CNC co-ordinating measuring machines capable of both tactile probing and non-contact optical measurement, enabling detailed verification of critical geometries, tolerances and surface features. These systems are complemented by advanced optical inspection equipment, including shadowgraphs and a Baty SM350 FT2E profile projector, allowing accurate analysis of edges, radii and profiles that are difficult to assess by traditional means.
This comprehensive metrology capability ensures reliable dimensional inspection across prototypes, first-article validation and ongoing production batches, supporting full traceability and confidence in the finished component.
All components are produced under our ISO 9001:2015 accredited quality management system, ensuring robust process control from programming to final inspection. Part traceability is maintained using a Propen P5000 impact engraver, enabling permanent identification where required. Combined with detailed inspection reporting, our processes provide reliable documentation and assurance for customers operating in regulated and safety-critical sectors.
To support consistent throughput and reduce human variation, we utilise a Keyence IM-7020 image dimension measuring system for high-speed, multi-point inspection. Digital surface finish assessments are completed using a Mitutoyo Surftest, allowing us to verify Ra requirements and surface condition across a range of materials. These systems provide traceable, repeatable results for every job.
