Established in 2001 by Michael Laybourne with 32 years experience in the industry, YPEL founded itself on a very strict work ethic, to exceed its customers’ quality expectations
We believe quality and service is paramount, continually investing in the latest equipment and tooling available to enhance and build on our solid reputation of providing high quality components, on time and at competitive rates.
Since moving into a larger facility in 2006, YPEL has made further investments in its machine tools adding a STAR SA16R and SR32 sliding head lathe, to meet the demand for larger components a Miyano BNJ42-SY twin spindle turning centre was purchase in October 2008 allowing machining up to 200mm diameter.
Our customer base includes medical, surgical, oil and gas, electronics and aerospace suppliers, as well as the general precision engineering sector.
All the machines are programmed, set and operated by time served engineers and are run lights out overnight and at the weekend when required.
